Blueberry Cheesecake Smoothie

This smoothie rocks my world! It's super filling and it's amazing for post-workout recovery, breakfast, a snack, whatever you want. It's just delicious!

Since starting a high fat:low carb diet, I needed to find a a meal replacement or protien powder that would fit my macros. The meal replacement shake I was drinking for two years was half of my daily carbohydrate intake for the day and that was even without my additional smoothie add-ins. Prior to that I was using Nuts 'N More and loved it. So I looked up the nutritional information and found out that it was higher in fat and low in carbs.

This smoothie is a little heavier in carbs, but I have the majority of carbs in the morning and increase my fats for lunch and dinner. You could half the ingredients to make the carbs less and have it for a simple post-workout snack or to satisfy a sweet tooth.

"Berry Dreamy" Ketogenic Smoothie

For the past few years I've gotten used to getting my workouts done in the mornings complete with a smoothie for breakfast, but after deciding a couple weeks ago to switch to a diet high in fats and low in carbs & sugar, I needed to figure out how to covert my smoothies to a high fat - low carbohydrate ratio. I was drinking shakeology daily, but it's loaded with carbs, so this dietary change has been a fun challenge to get creative in the kitchen post-sweat sesh. I made a trip to Trader Joe's yesterday, and had to look at the nutritional information on every fruit to find that the frozen mixed berry medley had the lowest amount of net carbs per serving (9g). I had lots of high fat foods already on hand, so I came up with this... Its high in good fat + nutrients! "Berry Dreamy" Smoothie ingredients:  1 Cup of unsweetened almond milk 3/4 Cup of frozen mixed berrry medley (Rasberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries) 1 packet o...

Unicorn Coffee (Best Bullet Proof Coffee)

After dealing with some heavy amounts of fatigue and depression for two weeks, I reached out to a friend and tried out a supplement with the nickname "Unicorn Moonshine". Why Unicorn Moonshine? For starters, it makes you feel magical AF, and secondly, it is the first therapeutic ketone supplement on the market. This supplement is backed by research at the University of South Florida.  Unicorn Moonshine aka Keto//OS allows you to feel the benefits of elevated ketone levels in the blood without being on a strict ketogenic diet. Ketones are a superior source of fuel for your tissues, especially your brain over glucose, but due to being told that fat is bad for us, we have never really experienced the power of this amazing fuel source until now.  For more info watch my YouTube video here:  What is Unicorn Moonshine ,  and also check out these  Frequently Asked Questions .  I've benefited from this supplement in more ways than I expected. Healthy Doughnut Holes

Grain free, paleo, and vegan friendly I struggled to come up with a name for these bites of magic. They taste like a healthy sugar cookie dough and/or healthy doughnut holes.  They are filled with good fats and natural sugars, and fit within a grain free, vegan, and/or paleo lifestyle. They also make a good pre and post workout snack.  Ingredients: 1 Cup coconut shreds 1/2 Cup melted coconut butter  1/4 Cup melted coconut oil 2 Tbsp cashew butter 1 Cup walnuts  1/2 Cup almond flour 6 pitted medjool dates  1 tsp cinnamon  1 tsp cardamom  1 tsp maca  Add all ingredients to a food processor (I use a Cuisinart bought at Goodwill. It works like a charm). Blend for a few minutes until all ingredients are fully mixed. It will eventually turn into a large ball like structure. Once it’s finished, scoop out a tablespoon size amount and roll into a ball and place on a baking sheet, then place the balls in the freezer  ...
